Against his family’s wishes Mikidache learnt the music at the age of 13. He started to play music into a band « Ylang Ylang». The band flew to Paris in 1986 and drew attention in the medias with one track. They took part in many concerts, playing beside African and Caribbean artists. After going back to Comoros in order to finish his studies, Mikidache went back to the French capital with the aim to develop his career. There he met some talented musicians such as Jules Bikoko who was playing the Double Bass and Pascale Pallisco who was playing the Accordion. With them he recorded his first album « Kauli ». This opus gave him the opportunity to win the Discovery Award of “Radio France Internationale” in 1999.
